Honda Previews Base Station Camper Despite U.S. EV Cancellations

Honda published a new look at its Base Station camper prototype while canceling its planned American electric vehicles.

Honda describes the Base Station as a mobility device and all-electric camper that was envisioned to be towed by Honda 0 Series EVs and styled to echo those prototypes.

The Base Station is larger than a teardrop but smaller than a full-size travel trailer, big enough to stand in yet small enough to be hauled by a variety of vehicles.

Honda says it sees itself as a provider of mobility solutions and continues to explore experiments like the Base Station alongside products such as the Honda Navi mini motorcycle and the Motocompacto, even after canceling the Honda 0 Saloon, Honda 0 SUV and the Acura RSX electric crossover for the U.S.
