Hyundai has fully revealed two Ioniq concept EVs, Venus and Earth, which will debut at the Beijing auto show as part of the Ioniq subbrand's launch in China.
Hyundai said it will develop unique Ioniq-badged EVs for the Chinese market and that future Ioniq models in China will be named after planets, a theme the company describes as each vehicle "orbiting around the customer."
Hyundai says both cars feature a "single-curve" silhouette that defines the profile with one continuous form, and the concepts show sharply styled bodywork and fastback-like proportions.
The hatchback Venus sports a sloping front, fastback roof, Radiant Gold paint, a panoramic glass roof and a transparent rear lip spoiler, and Hyundai highlighted a Voyager Golden Records motif etched on the brake pads. The Venus cabin has an octagonal steering wheel, a dominant central screen, ambient lighting, suede and gold accents, and minimal physical controls.
