Jeep Delays Recon Production to Mid-2026 as Cherokee Ramp Takes Priority

Jeep confirmed the Recon is delayed until mid-2026 because production at its Toluca, Mexico, plant must prioritize ramping Cherokee output, CEO Bob Broderdorf said.

Bob Broderdorf told a media Q&A that order books for the Recon will not open until midyear and that press reviews are expected around that time, while customer deliveries could arrive as late as fall. Production at Toluca was halted at the end of March after a dispute with a supplier, Broderdorf said.

A Jeep spokesperson said the 56 Recon units reported in 2025 are early feedback vehicles issued to employees and classified as sales, noting the Recon is in Jeep's fast feedback fleet.
