Jeep announced the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will return later this year, but the company did not specify which powertrain the off-road–focused model will use.
Jeep shared a cropped teaser image and a brief statement confirming the Trailhawk as part of a "new product blitz" intended to reflect the brand’s purpose-built identity.
The Trailhawk was absent after Jeep discontinued the 4xe plug-in hybrid, and Jeep currently offers the Grand Cherokee with the Pentastar V6, Hemi V8 and the new "Hurricane" inline-4.
Jeep has previously teased a Hemi V8 return, but the company gave no indication whether the Trailhawk will use the V8, V6 or I4 when it arrives later this year.
