Jordan Grand Prix: Fisichella Awarded 2003 Brazilian GP Win After FIA Review

Jordan Grand Prix secured its fourth and final Formula 1 victory at the 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix on 6 April 2003 when the FIA declared Giancarlo Fisichella, a Jordan driver, the winner.

Giancarlo Fisichella had qualified eighth for Jordan's 200th grand prix start as heavy rain delayed the Interlagos race. The team elected to fuel Fisichella and Jordan driver Ralph Firman Jr to run long, leaving them at the back for the restart.

Wet conditions and multiple incidents shuffled the order, with Rubens Barrichello running out of fuel and several leaders pitting or making mistakes. Kimi Räikkönen briefly passed Fisichella before the race was red-flagged, and an FIA review ruled results should be taken from the end of lap 54 when Fisichella led.

The FIA decision returned Jordan to the podium for the first time since the 2000 United States Grand Prix and stood as the team's final win. Jordan Grand Prix later scored a last podium in 2005 before the operation evolved into MF1 Racing, Spyker, Force India, Racing Point and Aston Martin.
