Kia will bring the all-new 2027 EV3 to U.S. dealerships late this year after unveiling the production model at the 2026 New York International Auto Show on April 1, 2026.
The EV3 sits between subcompact and compact crossovers with a long wheelbase, short overhangs and a footprint similar to the Ford Bronco Sport; it was first previewed as concepts at Milan Design Week in 2024. Karim Habib, Kia's head of global design, said the EV3 is a crossover in concept and that the team used upright, geometric lines to convey visual bulk.
Kia engineered the EV3 for efficiency with a full underbody cover, an active front air flap, lightweight body materials and aerodynamic wheels, yielding a 0.275 drag coefficient, and ground clearance that is lower than a Subaru Crosstrek. Either 17- or 19-inch alloy wheels will be offered, and trims include Light, Wind, Land, GT-Line and GT, plus a Nightfall package and GT-specific green accents.
Kia's EV3 features a floating roof and tight wheel placement that make it appear larger than its dimensions, with styling that echoes the larger EV9 scaled to a smaller crossover.
