Kia Confirms 2027 EV3 for U.S. with Five Trims and Nightfall Package

Kia has shown the 2027 EV3 in North American specification and confirmed the subcompact electric SUV will arrive in the U.S. later this year after being sold overseas since 2024.

The EV3 will be offered in five trims—Light, Wind, Land, GT-Line, and GT—with an exclusive U.S. Nightfall appearance package. The Light trim uses a 58-kWh battery rated up to 220 miles, while the other trims use an 81-kWh battery rated up to 320 miles on front‑drive models; Kia says the smaller battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 29 minutes and the larger in about 31 minutes, and every EV3 includes an NACS port.

Front‑wheel drive is standard on the Light trim, Wind and Land come standard as front‑drive with optional AWD, and GT‑Line and GT are AWD as standard; the GT outputs 288 horsepower while other AWD EV3s are rated at 261 horsepower, and Kia has not provided front‑drive power or AWD range figures. The EV3 seats five, features dual 12.3‑inch displays and an available head‑up display, and North American pricing has not yet been released.
