Kia Unveils U.S.-Spec 2027 Seltos with New X-Line and Hybrid at New York Auto Show

Kia unveiled the U.S.-spec 2027 Seltos at the New York International Auto Show, introducing a new X-Line trim and confirming gasoline and hybrid powertrain options for the U.S. market.

The gasoline lineup includes a carryover 2.0‑liter naturally aspirated inline‑4 with a CVT and 147 horsepower, plus a turbocharged 1.6‑liter estimated at 190 horsepower mated to an eight‑speed automatic; the turbo is available only in X-Line with all‑wheel drive.

The Seltos Hybrid pairs a 1.6‑liter engine with a six‑speed dual‑clutch transmission and will be offered in front‑wheel‑drive or with Kia’s first e‑AWD system; Kia has not released EPA fuel economy, hybrid output, or pricing, and says the hybrid arrives later this year.

X-Line brings rugged exterior tweaks, 18‑ or 19‑inch wheels depending on powertrain, a monotone black SynTex interior with mesh headrests and four‑way lumbar, new color options, and Kia says the gas-model AWD is reworked as Multi‑Mode All‑Wheel‑Drive.
