Koenigsegg said its Gemera production line is now operational, moving the four-passenger Mega‑GT closer to customer deliveries after years of development.
Koenigsegg posted on its Facebook page that the Gemera line is running alongside assembly of the CC850 and will soon be joined on the factory floor by the Sadair Spear.
The Gemera pairs a twin-turbocharged 5.0‑liter V8 with three electric motors for a combined 2,300 horsepower and 2,028 pound‑feet of torque. Each rear electric motor produces 500 hp, while the front "Dark Matter" motor can deliver 800 hp. Koenigsegg said the Dark Matter motor uses carbon-fiber components to reduce weight to 86 pounds. The car was first unveiled in 2020, and buyers have been awaiting production progress since that reveal.
