Koenigsegg Starts Production of Four-Door Gemera After Six-Year Wait

Koenigsegg announced via a Facebook post that it has begun production of the four-door Gemera, six years after the car was first revealed at the 2020 Geneva show.

The Gemera is being built alongside the 1,385-horsepower CC850 and uses an updated hybrid system shown in 2023 that replaces three electric motors with a single 800-horsepower motor, yielding a combined 1,400 horsepower and 1,364 lb-ft in the standard configuration.

Koenigsegg offers an optional twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 paired with the same electric motor that raises output to 2,300 horsepower and 2,028 lb-ft, and Motor1 reported in 2023 that nearly every customer chose the V8. Koenigsegg has limited Gemera production to 300 units and all cars have already been spoken for.
