Lando Norris's Quadrant released a video in which Lando Norris and former teammate Carlos Sainz ran racing go-karts from the 1950s through today back-to-back on the same track the same day.
The footage shows lap-time reductions that are largest between the earliest decades, with the 1950s kart recording a 59.6-second lap and the modern 2026 LN Kart delivering the fastest time of the day by Lando Norris; gaps shrink substantially by the 1990s and are minimal between 2000s and 2026.
Drivers swapped across era-specific machines and also sampled modern karts bearing their names, and the video notes factors such as seating, tire compounds and changing rules that limit direct one-to-one comparisons in absolute performance.
