Legacy Motor Club has named Michael Guttilla president, effective immediately, and he joins the NASCAR Cup Series team after serving as chief operating officer at Joe Gibbs Racing.
Michael Guttilla spent two decades at global engineering firm Multimatic as Vice President of Engineering and R&D and Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing, and he has prior experience at General Motors and Mechanical Dynamics Inc.
Seven-time Cup Series champion and Legacy owner Jimmie Johnson said Guttilla's leadership and technical expertise will be a tremendous asset, and Joe Gibbs said both organizations collaborated on the move and appreciated Guttilla's guidance.
Michael Guttilla said he is honored to bring his experience to Legacy Motor Club, to work closely with TRD, and to focus on building an organization and culture capable of competing for wins and championships; Legacy currently fields the No. 42 of John-Hunter Nemechek and the No. 43 of Erik Jones.
