At the New York Auto Show, multiple automakers displayed lime-green and citrus-hued paint options, reflecting a U.S. trend in which green vehicle share rose from 2% in 2024 to 4% in 2025.
Fiat showed the 500e Icona painted in "Tennis Ball", with the color applied to the exterior and dashboard and offered for $250, and the model includes off-white upholstery, a two-tone steering wheel and chrome exterior trim.
Subaru presented the Crosstrek and Impreza hatchback in "Citron Yellow Pearl", a $395 option, and displayed an Impreza RS with dark grey 18-inch wheels plus cloth seats featuring red bands, checkered fabric centers and red stitching.
The Nissan Frontier was among other stands showing a more traditional lime green, and most brands present at the New York Auto Show included at least one green or greenish model.
