Magnum, P.I. Ferrari 308 GTS Authenticated for Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction

Barrett-Jackson will offer a Ferrari 308 GTS used on the television series Magnum, P.I. at its Palm Beach, Florida auction April 16–18.

The car is authenticated by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini and F-Register and was used in the pilot and early first-season episodes, according to the auction listing. The vehicle received seat alterations to accommodate Tom Selleck, actor, and sources say the seats have been returned to original condition, though the listing does not confirm this.

The 308 GTS carries a 2.9-liter quad-cam V8 with four Weber carburetors, electronic ignition and about 240 horsepower, and it retains the iconic gated shifter while later series cars used fuel injection.

Barrett-Jackson lists the car with show provenance; similar Ferrari 308 sales have ranged roughly $58,500–$67,500, and Hagerty notes a Magnum 308 GTB sold for $115,000 last year.
