Max Verstappen Could Quit F1 Amid Rules Row, Says Sky Sports’ David Croft

Sky Sports F1 commentator David Croft said Max Verstappen's retirement threats are "not empty" and that the Red Bull driver may leave Formula 1 if he has lost the love for the sport.

Max Verstappen is contracted to Red Bull until the end of 2028 but could activate a contractual clause to exit earlier, and he has publicly criticized the new Formula 1 regulations while discussing the possibility of walking away at the end of the year.

Speaking on the Sky Sports F1 Show, David Croft said Verstappen generally sticks to his statements, wants to race for enjoyment and spend more time with family, and should not remain in motorsport if he no longer enjoys it.
