Mercedes, McLaren and Alpine ran their 2026 Formula 1 cars in Pirelli tyre tests this week, with Mercedes and McLaren at the Nürburgring and Alpine carrying out a filming day at Silverstone.
Mercedes driver George Russell completed 127 laps and McLaren driver Oscar Piastri did 65 laps after a technical issue, while championship leader Kimi Antonelli and McLaren driver Lando Norris posted 109 and 108 laps respectively as teams mainly evaluated Pirelli's C3 medium compound and trialled softer tyres.
Pirelli shares the collected data across the grid; Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari completed a separate wet-weather test at Fiorano last week with Hamilton doing 297 laps. Pirelli's next test is scheduled for mid‑May at Magny‑Cours, and Alpine used its Silverstone filming day with Alpine driver Franco Colapinto under the 200km promotional limit.
