Mercedes‑Benz 2027 EQS EV Adds Mb.os AI Assistant, Digital Light Headlamps and Heated Seatbelts

Mercedes‑Benz has updated the 2027 EQS with refreshed styling, energy-saving Digital Light headlamps, an MB.OS-powered MBUX Virtual Assistant and new heated front seatbelts.

The EQS gains Digital Light smart headlamps with star-shaped daytime running elements that project an extremely wide high-beam pattern with local dimming. Mercedes‑Benz says the new lights consume 50 percent less energy and will be offered in the USA.

Mercedes‑Benz's enhanced MB.OS enables a new MBUX Virtual Assistant that can route queries to Google Gemini, ChatGPT or other AI agents and offers personified avatars. The navigation system uses AI to break journeys into segments, analyze grade, wind, weather and traffic to improve energy predictions and can reserve charging towers at Mercedes‑owned stations.

Cosmetic updates include added power domes, an AMG‑Line grille and revised rear lighting, while interior changes add heated front seatbelts and new 13.1‑inch rear screens with HD cameras for videoconferencing. Heated belts are not offered for rear seats, though inflatable airbag belts remain available.
