Mercedes-Benz Reveals 2027 C‑Class EV C400 4Matic with ~400‑Mile Range and 3.9s 0–60

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the 2027 all-electric C‑Class C400 4Matic, which is set to launch in the U.S. in the first half of 2027 and promises a 3.9‑second 0–60 mph time with roughly 400 miles of range.

The C400 rides on the MB.EA 800‑volt platform with a 94‑kWh lithium‑ion battery and dual motors producing 482 horsepower and 590 lb‑ft; the front motor can disconnect for efficiency while the rear motor uses a two‑speed transmission. It supports up to 330 kW DC fast charging, includes a standard DC converter for 400‑volt stations, and has a 9.6‑kW onboard charger.

Mercedes‑Benz will continue to offer the internal‑combustion C‑Class alongside the new electric model and plans facelifts for both within the next year. Ola Källenius, Chairman and CEO, said the new C‑Class blends "performance, comfort, dynamics, and intelligence," and Mercedes cites a 473‑mile WLTP rating it expects to equal about 400 miles in U.S. use.
