Mercedes‑Benz unveiled the 2027 GLE, saying the mid-size luxury SUV features more than 3,000 new or revised components alongside expanded powertrain and technology options.

Powertrain choices include a 255-hp 2.0-liter turbo four, a 375-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six (GLE450), and a 530-hp twin-turbo 4.0-liter V‑8 with a flat‑plane crank. The lineup also offers a six-cylinder‑based plug‑in hybrid producing 429 hp and 502 lb‑ft, plus the Mercedes‑AMG GLE53 Hybrid at 577 hp; GLE450 and GLE53 are available in Coupe form.

Every GLE gets a 10.8-square-foot panoramic roof that opens and standard all‑wheel drive with a two‑speed transfer case, while E‑Active Body Control remains exclusive to the GLE580. Mercedes‑Benz added cloud‑based predictive damper sharing, Magic Vision Control windshield cleaning, and an MBUX Superscreen with an avatar and Microsoft Teams integration.
