Mercedes to Debut Maybach VLS All-Electric Luxury Van

Mercedes-Benz will introduce a Maybach-branded, all-electric luxury MPV called the Maybach VLS, built on the VAN.EA platform and engineered for chauffeur-focused rear-passenger comfort. The Maybach VLS was confirmed by CEO Ola Källenius during the updated Maybach S‑Class presentation in Beijing.

UK sales are planned though launch timing remains unconfirmed; the VLS will share the VAN.EA architecture with the VLE (V‑Class successor), offer multiple seating layouts including a high-end two-seat configuration, and emphasise a “first-class” rear-seat experience. Production of the standard VLS is due by the end of 2026, with the Maybach VLS expected in 2027 and sold exclusively as an EV.
