MINI Countryman Gets Two One-Off DJ Builds by Vagabund Moto

Mini and Austrian design house Vagabund Moto have created two one-off customised Mini Countryman cars that add chunky off-road styling and integrated audio systems, and Mini plans to show them at the Beijing motor show.

The builds feature widened wheel arches, a raised ride height, laser-cut roof racks and blocky 20-inch wheels, and they trade the rear windows for an asymmetric audio setup. On one side the rear three-quarter houses speakers behind a flip-up mesh while the opposite side incorporates a classic yellow Walkman.

The cars are one-off showpieces rather than production candidates and are intended to inject a retro, party-ready character into the Countryman lineup. The design gives each Mini Countryman a compact, Defender-like stance and a portable DJ-booth function when the tailgate is opened.

Vagabund Moto, which typically builds minimal custom motorcycles and has previously worked with BMW, collaborated with Mini on the two Countryman vehicles that will debut at the Beijing motor show.
