Nissan Rogue E-Power Hybrid Coming to U.S. in Late 2026

Nissan confirmed the Rogue Hybrid e-Power will arrive in the U.S. in late 2026, using its series-hybrid e-Power system to provide EV-like driving without plug-in charging.

Nissan’s e-Power system has been sold in Europe, Japan, Australia and 68 other countries, and the Rogue will use a pure series hybrid layout where the gasoline engine generates electricity rather than mechanically driving the wheels. This differs from the parallel or series-parallel hybrids used by Toyota and Honda.

Ponz Pandikuthira, Chief Product & Planning Officer at Nissan Americas, told a reporter at the New York International Auto Show that Nissan pursued a series design to make the powertrain “primarily electric” and projects fuel economy north of 40 mpg, though EPA figures are not yet released.

The Rogue e-Power will offer electric-motor all-wheel drive and rely mainly on its gasoline tank rather than large battery packs, and its U.S. debut is part of Nissan’s broader effort to recover sales and compete with Toyota and Honda hybrids.
