Nissan X-Trail E-Power Revealed with Bold New Look as Juke EV Debuts

Nissan revealed the exterior of the new X-Trail E-Power at its Yokohama headquarters and said the E-Power variant is due next year alongside a newly unveiled electric Juke.

E-Power badging confirms a series-hybrid setup where a petrol engine generates electricity for the drive motor. Nissan said the X-Trail will use the upgraded E-Power system from the Qashqai for improved power and efficiency.

Nissan said the new X-Trail keeps the CMF‑CD underpinnings but has been extensively restyled with a bold trapezoid grille and angular LED lighting. The company targets a 2027 launch for the new-generation X-Trail but did not confirm regional timing.

The reveal accompanied details of Nissan's final Re:Nissan recovery-year plan, which trims the global lineup from 56 to 45 models to focus investment. Nissan listed the X-Trail as a 'global core' model and the Juke EV as a 'Europe core' model.
