Pedro Acosta, the KTM rider reported by Motorsport.com to have agreed a move to Ducati for 2027, said teaming with nine‑time world champion Marc Marquez at Ducati would be "a dream come true."
The reported Ducati deal, which would see Acosta replace factory Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia, has not been formally announced because manufacturers and MotoGP have not finalised a commercial agreement for 2027.
Acosta has remained focused on his current KTM commitments and stayed tight‑lipped about his future, but he welcomed a suggestion from his idol Kevin Schwantz that pairing with Marc Marquez would form a "dream team."
Acosta has enjoyed a strong start to the 2026 season and sits third in the championship, and Marc Marquez has previously described Acosta as "special" and a leader of the younger generation.
