Porsche 911 GT3 S/c Convertible Debuts with Manual Gearbox and Coupé-Like Handling

Porsche has launched the 911 GT3 S/C, a permanent drop-top GT3 priced at £200,500, and Andreas Preuninger, Porsche GT division boss, said it feels identical to the GT3 coupé for non-professional drivers.

The GT3 S/C uses the GT3's 4.0-litre flat-six tuned to 503bhp — 15bhp down from the S/T due to emissions hardware — and revs to 9,000rpm, with power sent exclusively to a close‑ratio six‑speed manual.

At 1,497kg it is 28kg heavier than the GT3 coupé but retains identical spring and damper rates, rear-steer geometry, staggered magnesium wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, and matches the coupé's 0-62mph time of 3.9 seconds with a 194mph top speed.

Porsche fitted an electrically folding roof, carbonfibre body panels and deleted the rear seats; a dual-mass flywheel clutch eases low-speed driving and an optional Street Style pack adds bespoke trim.
