Porsche Cayenne Shown Severed in Two After Dunwoody Single-Car Crash

The Dunwoody Police Department posted late on March 31 a photo showing a matte purplish SUV torn into two and reported it as a single-car crash in which speed was a factor and the driver sustained only minor injuries.

The vehicle in the photo appears to be a current-model Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupe with a matte finish and aftermarket black wheels; the front passenger seat appears ejected or removed, and the rear cabin shows red-and-black leather seats and shredded curtain airbags.

Observers on the Dunwoody post noted the road’s 25 mph limit and questioned how the damage occurred; the Cayenne GTS is rated at about 493 horsepower with a manufacturer-claimed top speed of 171 mph according to Porsche specifications.
