RAM 2500 Emergency Response Vehicle Certified for Michigan State Police Pursuits

Ram's 2500 Emergency Response Vehicle passed the Michigan State Police evaluation and is certified as a pursuit-capable emergency vehicle.

The Michigan State Police evaluation includes 0–60, 0–80 and 0–100 mph benchmarks, 20 full antilock brake stops from 60 mph, and up to 32 full-throttle laps at Grattan Raceway, along with ergonomics tests relevant to officer use. MotorTrend reported these tests and their role in ensuring durability under pursuit and duty-cycle conditions.

The Ram 2500 Emergency Response Vehicle is built on Ram's Special Service Vehicle and uses a 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 with a heavy-duty eight-speed TorqueFlite transmission, two-speed transfer case, 4.10 axle ratio and anti-slip differentials. Dual 400-amp alternators, 18-inch steel wheels and dedicated wiring with a vehicle systems interface module support emergency lights and equipment installations.
