A 1977 Plymouth Volare wagon equipped with a Chrysler 318 CID V8 and a four-speed overdrive manual transmission is being offered online as a rust-free Southern car with recent mechanical work.
The ad notes the two-barrel 318 originally made about 145 horsepower and 245 pound-feet of torque, and lists repairs including a replaced front timing chain, a new rear clutch, a fuel pump and replacement driveshaft universal joints.
Photos on the Craigslist and Haughty Hemmings listings show a silver-bodied Plymouth Volare with faded paint but reportedly straight metal and intact chrome, and the seller says brakes and tires are in good condition.
The seller classifies the Plymouth Volare's condition as "good," and the combination of rust-free sheetmetal and a manual transmission makes this example a relatively rare survivor.
