Sony Honda Mobility has canceled the Afeela electric vehicles planned with Honda, halting the Afeela 1 sedan and crossover launches that were to use Honda’s 0 Series architecture.
Honda said it is abandoning its own 0 Series EVs because of losses and slowing demand, and SHM stated it cannot access technologies Honda had planned to provide; customers who reserved an Afeela will be refunded their $200 deposits and the joint venture’s business direction will be reviewed.
