Tiger Woods, the professional golfer, was arrested on Friday after his Land Rover Range Rover SV rolled during a crash near his Jupiter Island, Florida, home; he faces charges of DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.
Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said the crash occurred shortly after 2 p.m. as Woods attempted to pass a pressure-cleaner truck on a two-lane road, clipped the truck's trailer and rolled onto the driver's side, and that no injuries were reported.
Sheriff John Budensiek said Woods blew "triple zeroes" on a breath test and refused a urine test, and on-scene evaluators believed he was not alcohol-impaired and suggested medication or drugs; authorities said no drugs or medication were found in the vehicle.
Woods will be held in the Martin County Jail for at least eight hours and faces the listed charges; Tiger Woods has had several prior public crashes and a 2017 DUI arrest that led to a reckless-driving plea, a fine and DUI school.
