TikToker Says She Was Scammed Buying Parts for Inherited Ford Mustang

TikTok creator Brandy W (@bdizzle1013) says she was scammed while buying body parts online for the Ford Mustang she inherited from her late brother.

In a March 24 TikTok video, Brandy W says she checked the seller’s address, read Google reviews and received a tracking link before paying; she says she later received an email demanding an additional $400 to ship the Ford Mustang parts.

Brandy W says her brother died by suicide in October and left her the Mustang, which she planned to repair as a graduation gift for her son in boot camp, and she said she cannot easily replace the lost money.

The Federal Trade Commission and Better Business Bureau have flagged similar advance-fee scams using fabricated storefronts and fake tracking portals, and commenters urged Brandy W to contact her bank or credit card company.
