Toyota and McDonald's Japan have partnered with toy maker Tomica to include seven Tomica model cars, led by the GR GT3 race car, as Happy Meal toys in Japan from April 10 to May 7.
The Tomica selection features the GR GT3 and a range of branded and utility vehicles, including a Toyota TownAce flatbed hauling a hamburger, a Toyota Dyna tow truck, a Hino flatbed with a shark, plus vehicles such as a Nissan Skyline police car, a fire truck, a double-decker bus and an ambulance modeled on the Nissan NV350.
A promotional video accompanying the launch shows a gold-painted GR GT3 variant not listed in the published selection, and the toys are distributed in blind-box style so purchasers do not know which model they will receive.
Toyota did not say whether any of the Happy Meal toys will be rarer than others.
