The Zebra reported in 2024 that 49% of 1,000 surveyed drivers said they feared parallel parking, with 11% citing being watched, 12% fearing being blocked in, and 7% fearing hitting a curb.
The Zebra also linked higher confidence to frequent practice and regional differences, noting 61% of confident drivers live in the Northeast versus 46% in the Midwest, and Vanessa Sosa’s video resonated with viewers who cited social pressure as a common barrier.
