Verge Motorcycles completed and crated its first production Verge TS on March 31 and prepared the bike for shipment to an unknown first customer.
Verge Motorcycles and engineering partner Donut Lab previously said the second-generation TS uses an all-solid-state Donut Battery claimed to offer up to 370 miles of range, 10-minute charging, about 400 Wh/kg energy density and more than 10,000 cycles. Donut Lab introduced the Donut Battery with limited public proof and has been releasing test updates intermittently.
Founder Teemu Saukkio launched the company as RMK Vehicle Corporation in 2018; Verge Motorcycles worked with Donut Lab on the TS’s hubless rear-wheel motor and battery development, and the production bike rolled before the largest battery claims were independently demonstrated.
