Cadillac Escalade-V Disappears in Transit; BMW of Henderson Sues McCollister’s and Orlandi’s

BMW of Henderson has filed suit against McCollister's Global Services and Orlandi's Towing after a Cadillac Escalade-V valued at about $132,000 went missing during arranged transport to AutoNation Cadillac West Palm Beach.

The dealer arranged the shipment through logistics program Acertus, McCollister's initially took the job, and an Orlandi's Towing driver later picked up the Escalade-V at BMW of Henderson with a bill of lading.

According to the complaint filed March 26 in Las Vegas, the SUV was dropped at a North Las Vegas residence after a person claiming to represent McCollister's sent text instructions, then was removed by unknown persons and never delivered to the Florida dealership.

BMW of Henderson is seeking damages for conversion, civil conspiracy, intentional misrepresentation, negligence and violation of the federal Carmack Amendment; Misdeivis Orlandi, owner of Orlandi's Towing, says his company acted properly and photographed the pickup and bill of lading.
