DoorDash TikToker Real Mullet Kid Says He Registers His Car as a Bike to Avoid Insurance Costs

A DoorDash driver who posts as Real Mullet Kid on TikTok said he lists his car as a bicycle in the DoorDash app and told an Allstate representative he has not paid car insurance on his vehicles for years.

In the viral video, Real Mullet Kid described the Allstate representative’s surprise and said he "probably saved $20,000" by avoiding insurance and by registering as a bike on DoorDash while driving a car.

E-bike supplier Whizz commented that bikes can be easier for city deliveries and noted on its website that there is no strict law forbidding using a car when listed as a bike, but advised against it.

Whizz warned that misrepresenting vehicle type can skew DoorDash delivery estimates and could complicate insurance claims if an accident occurs while the app believes the driver was biking.
