Williams F1’s Troubled 2026 Start Draws Warning From Martin Brundle

Former Formula 1 driver and Sky Sports analyst Martin Brundle called Williams' start to the 2026 Formula 1 season "very concerning" after the team missed private testing and sits ninth in the constructors' standings with two points scored by driver Carlos Sainz.

Speaking on the Sky Sports F1 Show, Brundle said team principal James Vowles had backed Williams' long-term 2026 project but crash-test issues forced extra structure onto the car, leaving the team on the back foot for pre-season development.

Brundle added that the car "doesn't look a particularly good car" and described the situation as worrying, noting Williams sits ahead of Cadillac and Aston Martin yet remains disappointing and needs to be competitive in the midfield.
