Alex Palou Wins Long Beach IndyCar GP, His Third Victory in Six 2026 Races

IndyCar driver Alex Palou won the IndyCar Grand Prix of Long Beach on Sunday, securing his 22nd career victory and his third win in the first six races of the 2026 season.

IndyCar driver Felix Rosenqvist started from pole and dominated much of the race but lost the lead on pit road during the final pit stops and finished second. IndyCar driver Scott Dixon defended successfully against IndyCar driver Kyle Kirkwood to take third on the podium.

IndyCar driver Mick Schumacher finished 17th, his best result since joining the IndyCar field, while IndyCar driver Dennis Hauger led the trio of rookies in 11th at Long Beach. IndyCar driver Marcus Ericsson was the only driver who did not finish, retiring with electrical issues in an otherwise incident-free race.

The Long Beach win gives IndyCar driver Alex Palou three victories in the opening six races of the 2026 IndyCar season and extends his early-season momentum.
