Hyundai Ioniq 3 EV Hatch Debuts at Milan, Introduces Pleos Connect Android Automotive

Hyundai unveiled the Ioniq 3 electric "aero hatch" at Milan Design Week, highlighting production-ready design and the debut of the Pleos Connect infotainment system based on Android Automotive.

The Ioniq 3 follows last year's Concept Three with a compact, Veloster-like silhouette, measures 163.6 inches long, and achieves a claimed 0.263 drag coefficient, Hyundai said.

The Pleos Connect system will roll out across Hyundai lineups and is Android Automotive-based; Hyundai CEO José Muñoz told Wired the company is considering bringing the Ioniq 3 to the U.S.

Photos show the N Line trim with sporty bumpers, 19-inch aero wheels, pixel lighting and a split rear window, while Hyundai described the look as its Art of Steel design language.
