Tesla Cybertruck Registrations: Bloomberg Finds Roughly 18% Tied to Elon Musk Companies

A Bloomberg report found that roughly 1,279 of 7,071 Tesla Cybertrucks sold in Q4 2025—about 18 percent—were registered to companies owned by Elon Musk, including SpaceX, xAI, The Boring Company and Neuralink.

The report says the majority of those registrations went to SpaceX and that the trend continued into Q1 2026; Bloomberg also states that excluding those registrations would have reduced Cybertruck registrations by 51 percent in Q4.

Bloomberg adds that Tesla has faced declining sales amid increased competition in the U.S. and China and scrutiny over Elon Musk's political activity, and that the Tesla board recently approved a large pay package tied to delivery and robotaxi milestones.

The report notes Model S and Model X have been discontinued and the Roadster delayed, and says there are reports Tesla is again considering an inexpensive sub–Model 3 EV and a smaller vehicle described as "cooler" than a minivan.
