Daniel Dye to Make NASCAR Cup Debut at Talladega with Live Fast Motorsports

Driver Daniel Dye will make his NASCAR Cup Series debut this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway in the No. 78 Live Fast Motorsports Chevrolet.

The 22-year-old's deal with Live Fast Motorsports covers four races: Pocono on June 14, the Daytona cutoff on August 29, and the fall Talladega race on October 25, with Champion Container Corp as primary sponsor.

Daniel Dye was suspended earlier this year after making insensitive comments about IndyCar driver David Malukas on a whatnot livestream and lost his full-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series ride with the Kaulig Racing Ram team. He completed sensitivity training, was reinstated, and finished second in the ARCA Menards Series race at Kansas Speedway this past weekend.

Dye has 48 starts in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series with ten top tens and a best finish of seventh, 49 Truck Series starts with two top fives and ten top tens, and 28 ARCA starts including a win at Berlin in 2021.
