Dodge and Ram shared a trio of Instagram images that appear to include AI-generated or AI-distorted photos of Dodge and Ram vehicles.
The Autopian reported the post after enthusiasts flagged inaccuracies such as incorrect wheels, altered fascias and an elongated cab in images of Neon, Viper and Ram models. The Autopian reached out to Dodge, and a Dodge spokesperson said, "Yes, the two vehicles in the shared image are from product correct photography, but the AI-generated background unfortunately distorted some vehicle features."
Hundreds of comments on Instagram criticized Dodge for using images that appear AI-manipulated while the slideshow remained live at the time of reporting. Dodge said it appreciates the feedback and will do better, and The Autopian noted all three posted images contained at least one distorted vehicle feature.
