Fiat Tris EV Three-Wheeler Heads to UK as a Last-Mile Delivery Contender

Fiat has brought the Tris three-wheeled electric micro-truck to the UK Commercial Vehicle Show as it explores a commercial launch for last-mile delivery operations.

The Tris features a single front wheel with handlebar steering, one seat and open sides, and can be ordered as a chassis‑cab, flatbed or truck‑bed with up to 2.25m2 load area and a 540kg payload. It uses a 6.9kWh battery for a 56-mile range, a 12bhp motor with a 28mph top speed, measures 3.17m and has a 6.1m turning circle.

Fiat builds the Tris in Morocco and originally targeted the Middle East and Asia, but is now showing the model in Birmingham to identify potential UK customers and gauge viability. Autocar reported the vehicle’s open sides would likely need doors to meet UK safety requirements.

Kris Cholmondley, who runs the Fiat Professional CV division in the UK, said: "Tris is a smart, forward‑thinking answer to the growing demand for efficient last‑mile delivery."
