Hyundai Recalls 294,128 Genesis G90, Ioniq 6 and Santa Fe Models Over Seatbelt Anchor Risk

Hyundai Motor America is recalling 294,128 vehicles — the 2023–2026 Genesis G90, 2023–2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 and 2024–2026 Hyundai Santa Fe — because front seatbelt anchors may detach from the seat frame.

Hyundai said it first learned of a potential issue in September 2025 and opened an investigation that led engineers to conclude the snap-on anchors may have been damaged during installation, routine maintenance, or repair.

The automaker reported six incidents involving insufficiently attached seatbelt anchors but said it is unaware of any crashes, injuries, or fatalities.

Hyundai will notify owners by first-class mail and service technicians will inspect the anchor assembly, adding a reinforcement remedy or replacing the entire seat belt assembly as needed; the recall covers 294,128 vehicles.
