Ducati Runs 850cc Desmosedici GP Shakedown at Misano Ahead of 2027 Tests

Ducati conducted a first shakedown of its 850cc Desmosedici GP prototype at Misano, with veteran test rider Michele Pirro carrying out checks on Monday and Tuesday.

Ducati technicians ran the prototype without ride-height devices and with reduced aerodynamics, while Pirelli supplied development tyres and personnel for the test. The shakedown took place alongside the V2 Future Champ DUCATI Academy sessions at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

World Superbike championship leader Nicolo Bulega remains planned to oversee Ducati's development and is scheduled to conduct the first full tests of the new bike in a few weeks. Ducati joins KTM, Honda and Yamaha in running 2027 850cc prototypes, while Aprilia has yet to run its RS GP27 and plans private tests at Jerez after the Spanish GP on April 24-26.
