Kaoru Sawse, a Mitsubishi Fellow for vehicle engineering, told the Japan Mobility Show in October 2025 that North American sales remain under consideration and that "nothing has been decided yet."
Spy photos of a boxy prototype testing since at least July 2025 and Mitsubishi's Elevance Concept shown at the Mobility Show have fueled expectations that a new Pajero/Montero will follow those previews.
