Nissan Rogue ePower Swaps CVT for ePower Hybrid; Redesigned Rogue Revealed

Nissan will introduce the 2027 Rogue ePower later this year, using its ePower hybrid system that replaces the Rogue's Xtronic CVT by running the engine as a generator and driving the wheels with electric motors.

The ePower setup places an electric motor on each axle and a small battery stores energy from the engine or regenerative braking; Nissan has not released power, engine size, battery capacity, fuel economy or price.

The fourth-generation Rogue adopts chevron-shaped headlamp clusters, a glossy black grille with hexagonal inner elements and bold, angular surfacing including a harsh diagonal crease down the quarter panel.

The redesign and ePower drivetrain position Nissan and the Rogue ePower to compete in the compact hybrid SUV segment with models such as the Toyota RAV4, though Nissan has not released interior details or pricing.
