Nissan Skyline Sport Sedan Teased with Round Taillights and Hints of Tuned 3.0‑L V6

Nissan released a teaser image of the new Skyline sport sedan it is developing outside the U.S., previewing exterior details ahead of its expected debut.

The teaser shows vertical front lighting, an angular face, protruding round taillights and a "Skyline" script on the rear fender; Alfonso Albaisa, Nissan’s global design director, said the car is "inspired by the past" but not a "retro‑styling exercise."

Nissan will not sell the new Skyline in the U.S., but an Infiniti performance sedan based on the same platform is expected to reach the U.S. market, possibly under the Q50 or Q60 nameplate with distinct styling.

Reports indicate the model could use a tuned version of Nissan's twin‑turbo 3.0‑liter V6 (420 hp in the Z Nismo), and the Infiniti variant may produce up to 450 hp, be rear‑wheel drive and offer a manual transmission.
