Warner Brothers Announces ‘Oceans’ Prequel Led by Bradley Cooper with Margot Robbie Joining

Warner Brothers announced at CinemaCon that Bradley Cooper will lead and direct a new Oceans prequel titled Oceans, with actor Margot Robbie involved and the story set against the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.

Warner Brothers said its 2027 slate also includes a planned Superman sequel, a Melissa McCarthy holiday movie, and a studio revival with director M. Night Shyamalan.

According to Variety, Margot Robbie said the film will follow the parents of Danny Ocean—Danny Ocean is the character portrayed by George Clooney in earlier Ocean's films—as they plot a Monagasque heist during the 1962 Grand Prix.

Variety additionally reported that George Clooney may return in a present-day follow-up, with Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, and Don Cheadle reportedly attached.
