Doriane Pin, the 2025 F1 Academy champion and Mercedes development driver, took part in a private Formula 1 test for Mercedes at Silverstone, driving the 2021 Mercedes W12.
Pin told the F1 Beyond The Grid podcast she planned to take part in an F1 test, and Mercedes later published photos of her at the wheel with the caption calling it "a milestone moment for Doriane Pin."
In a video on social media Pin described the day as "very special" and said she intended to enjoy the experience and use it to build her skills.
The test follows Mercedes' backing of the F1 Academy pathway; the last woman to run a private F1 test was Jessica Hawkins in 2023 and the last to take part in a race weekend session was Susie Wolff in 2014.
